Smart Phones Driving China Towards Software Industry Boom

China is approaching a techno-savvy future hand-in-hand with the mounting affluence. With the Chinese economy taking positive strides, the burgeoning middle class is eagerly investing for material comforts as is exemplified in the rising demand for high-tech phones.

UK-based mobile phone software giant Symbian announced a sweeping 52% third-quarter increase in demand in the number of high-tech mobile handsets using its software, crediting China for this upsurge. Incidentally, the Symbian software turns mobile handsets into trendy, sophisticated gadgets by introducing features like camera, music and Internet.

Market analysis has revealed that mobile users in China have bought some 3.2 million smart phones in the third-quarter of 2006. This demand for smart mobile phones equipped with advanced software is sure to usher in a new era in the Chinese Software Industry.

A recently published RNCOS report [“Opportunities in Chinese Software Industry (2007)”] shows that the rapid growth of software in the Chinese market is costing businesses loss of customers in other countries.  The report, side by side, analyzes trends in the China software industry, appraising facts that might be of help for the success of businesses.
