Deluge Of Reports Paralyse Anti Graft Website In China

The Chinese government for the first time took initiative to starve off the corruption brewing within the system. In September, the National Bureau of Corruption Prevention launched its first official anti graft website, yfj.mos.gov.cn. The website was formed to invite citizens to report any corruption, they feel necessary. However, a deluge of reports on its very first day poorly paralysed the whole networking of the website.

The real objective of the Chinese government was to directly involve the mass towards a more secured future. Corruption is an acute problem and those in power hardly strive to do anything about it. China is no exception in such case. Its ruling body stays mum about the whole matter and more so, the investigation team permits minimum direct oversight and barely allows the general public to be part of their investigation. As a result, most of times the mass remains ignorant of the real scenario revolving round any crime and the criminals find better ways to escape.

To bring the situation under control, the Chinese government contemplated a five year plan to expose rampant growth of corruption, both in political and corporate domain. This resulted into the anti graft website, which was badly crashed on its very first day. However, it took a quick recovery on the next day. Twelve pages of users’ comments were left on the website widely discussing about the corruptions in every sphere. The website’s creative head was not spared, since the team was equally criticised for poorly customising the website.
